Over the past decade, Talis Karklins has worked with one of the UK's top 5 accountancy practices within the London Financial Services team. As a CASS consultant, he has specialized in CASS external and internal audits for UK banks, Investment Firms, Asset Managers, AIFMs, and P2P lending platforms and has gained invaluable experience through 130+ reasonable assurance CASS audits.
Talis has been involved in projects such as Section 166 investigation, providing CASS advice both before and after FCA visits, identifying gaps in CASS compliance, designing client money reconciliation processes and improving CASS systems and controls. He has also enhanced clients' CASS governance, assisted with breach remediation and facilitated effective communication with the FCA. Additionally, Talis has carried out ICAEW client money and Payment Service Providers safeguarding audits.
